Job Description – Operations Readiness Consultant – Vancouver or Calgary (AUS0007HC) Ausenco is a global company redefining what’s possible. We are currently looking for an Operations Readiness Consultant to work from our Vancouver or Calgary office.
The primary purpose of the role is to manage Operational Readiness (OR) plan development, Implementation and Execution utilising our well defined structured OR approach and framework. This includes leading Operational Readiness projects from inception, supporting commissioning plans and providing expert operational readiness advice and guidelines to stakeholders. Your work will ensure all requirements are known, managed, and coordinated to support the successful facility start-up and early life. The OR Consultant supports our clients’ businesses to deliver faster ramp up performance in a safe and efficient manner and allowing for the smooth, sustained operation of newly created or modified assets About the role Effectively managing, engaging, and influencing a wide range of technically complex and dynamic business requirements across a large number of business stakeholders.
Ensuring all accountabilities are met within timeframe, budget, and quality parameters, given the range of activities and priorities involved. Supporting transformational change given the range of internal and external stakeholders, the potential resistance to change and the need for both structural and cultural change. Ensure all OR programs are adequately covering the HSEC aspects by applying due diligence in OR plans reviews. Develop and maintain close relationship with all stakeholders to ensure a smooth processes governance.
Understand organisational objectives to translate into technical and financial decisions, plans and objectives. Capture the Client’s requirements for Operations Readiness including targets, criteria, frequencies, volumes, scopes, specifications, and quality levels – on an ongoing, evolving basis Develop the OR Programme Execution Plan and deliver Operational Readiness services through each phase of projects, from strategy to conception, project development, delivery, commissioning, handover to operations and close out Deliver the project according to contractual requirements by managing the scope of work, quality, budget, schedule, resources, risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle and maintain operational lines of communication with all relevant stakeholders. About you 5-10 years exposure to or experience working in Mining Operations or similar environment. Proven experience specifically in Operational Readiness, ideally ramping up Greenfields projects within the Mining Industry.
Demonstrated success in leading Operational Readiness that delivered the Production Promise on large projects. Relevant Project Management, Commissioning and Operational Readiness experience. Knowledge of industrial Operations and Engineering disciplines. Good understanding of the consulting services and operations business Influence relevant stakeholders in adherence to OR standard process compliance.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time. Excellent in numeracy skills and PC skills including the use of MS Excel and Power BI. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally for business.
