Are you a detail-oriented and experienced Real Estate Paralegal seeking a new opportunity? Our client, a boutique law firm, specializes in full-service operations for private lenders, institutional lenders, chartered banks, and credit unions across Canada. We are currently hiring a skilled Real Estate Paralegal to oversee a variety of residential and commercial real estate transactions.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee both residential and commercial real estate files.
  • Draft loan agreements, promissory notes, and security agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence on borrowers, including reviewing financial documents.
  • Prepare and manage the closing process for loan transactions.
  • Ensure loan documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with legal requirements.
  • Conduct title searches and secure collateral (e.g., real estate).
  • File and record legal documents with government agencies.
  • Communicate with clients and provide regular updates on the loan process.
  • Assist with risk management, including reviewing terms related to default or foreclosure.
  • Prepare statements of adjustments and manage trust accounts.


Qualifications:

  • Paralegal certification or diploma.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate law, preferably with exposure to private or institutional lending.
  • Strong knowledge of land title registration and related procedures in Canada.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
