Payroll Clerk


Junior Payroll Clerk North Vancouver 3.5 Month Contract (full-time). Your New Company: Hays Specialist Recruitment has partnered with a scientific testing company based in North Vancouver, BC. We are seeking a junior payroll clerk to join their team immediately.

This is a full-time role for 3.5 months, Monday to Friday. You will be working 5 days per week in office with a welcoming team. Your New Role: You will be reporting into the payroll manager.

You will be responsible for the following: Assist with the accurate processing of bi-weekly payrolls; including confirming new hire information, processing status changes, entering tax information, applying employee deductions, and verifying terminations within the Human Resource Information system; Enter payroll related information in a timely and accurate manner; Answer all employee enquiries in a timely and professional manner; Print and file all payroll documents in the employee/employer files; Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential; Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing assigned tasks quickly and accurately; Assist Payroll Manager with compiling payroll & benefits information for the purposes of audits, Reconciliations and other data analysis purposes as required What you’ll need to succeed: 2 years administrative experience with payroll & benefits administration preferred; Education in accounting or payroll related study would be an asset; Knowledge of payroll principles and legislation would be an asset What you’ll get in return: The opportunity to work for a company with a fantastic culture and supportive team.
