Payroll Manager

Are you a seasoned Payroll Manager looking for an exciting opportunity to lead and innovate?. Join a dynamic team in downtown Toronto, where you will play a crucial role in our payroll operations. Key Responsibilities: Supervise payroll staff, including a payroll accountant and commissions specialist.

Execute semi-monthly payroll runs in for 250-350 employees across Ontario, Alberta and BC. Handle monthly WSIB and EHT remittances for all provinces. Prepare year-end T4 statements and calculate termination packages.

Lead the transition from Ceridian Dayforce to ADP Workforce Now. Oversee the onboarding and terminations processes in ADP Workforce Now. Manage and process absences such as sick leave, vacation, and bereavement.

Review and process commission and bonus calculations and payments. Ensure accuracy in payroll journal entries and reconciliations with the General Ledger. Address and resolve payroll-related queries from employees and managers.

Skills and Experience: 5-10 years of multi-provincial payroll experience. Strong knowledge of provincial payroll legislation, especially in BC and Ontario. Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and other payroll systems.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving mindset. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines consistently.

Excellent customer service skills and ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality. Enthusiastic and eager to learn. Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

Demonstrates initiative and a proactive approach. A university degree is preferred. Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certification is a plus.
