Daramola Medical Clinic is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physiotherapist to join our team on a partnership basis to provide professional support services to our clients at all ages and stages of life. This position works within a collaborative multidisciplinary team consisting of various healthcare professionals from the nursing and allied health professions to deliver client-centered services to individuals with a wide variety of physical, cognitive, and mental health conditions, including complex health needs.

**Hours of Work: Negotiable

 Monday to Friday (Full-time/Part-time)


Salary: on a percentage sharing basis.

Using strong clinical and interpersonal skills, you will implement physiotherapy services in accordance with regulatory and AHS practice standards, using best practice and a client-centered approach, engaging the client, physicians, broader health care team and other internal program or external agencies as indicated.


Physiotherapy services may encompass any combination of direct therapeutic interventions, appropriate education, and/or connection to needed resources. Through the development and/or contribution to the Care Plan, in collaboration with the client & other healthcare providers, you will ensure services are provided & modified, based on the client’s response to the intervention.

Description:

As the Physiotherapist (PT), you will provide therapeutic interventions to enable clients to achieve optimum physical function and independence in development, disease, disability, chronic conditions, illness and functional decline.

You will provide intervention (i.e. prevention, triage, screening, assessment, diagnosis, goal setting, treatment, management, education, consultation, fostering resourcefulness, case management, referral and transition support to individuals, groups, populations and communities.



You will include stakeholders: clients and families as integral members of the health care team, encouraging their active participation in all aspects of care. The PT collaborates with patient(s) and families in determining, implementing and evaluating appropriate rehabilitation strategies. You will participate in a variety of interprofessional teams to build awareness, enrich supports and engage in quality improvement; partnering with healthcare providers, patients, families and other stakeholders to advance services for their clients.

You will contribute to quality improvement and their professional community; participates in peer mentoring; and supervises students. You may provide clinical supervision to Therapy Assistants, Therapy Aides and Provisional Physiotherapists.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program. Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Proven ability to provide exceptional clinical care within a continually changing healthcare environment.

Communication and assessment skills.


Experience with EMR especially ACCURO is an advantage.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.


Demonstrated ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.
