Job Title: PhysiotherapistJob Overview:We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist (employee or independent contractor) to join our team. Innov8 Physiotherapy is a new physiotherapy clinic in Port Alberni with an emphasis on high quality, evidence-informed, patient centred care and active rehabilitation. We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic physiotherapist to join our team.Our focus is on quality; the ideal candidate should be committed to clinical effectiveness and evidence-based practice as well as having excellent communication skills.

Experienced physiotherapists would be preferred, but new grads are also welcomed. Mentorship can be provided by an experienced physiotherapist.The clinicWe have four treatment rooms, a reception area, and large fully equipped gym space with high ceilings and a large functional training rig as well as artificial turf track, Olympic lifting platform, bike, rower, leg-press, treadmill and more so we can really test our patients functional capacity and readiness to return to sport We currently have a one Physiotherapist, a Registered Massage therapist, Clinical Counsellor, and a receptionist working within the clinic.The Location Our clinic is located within the heart of the beautiful Port Alberni; a small community _en route_ to the breathtaking west coast of Vancouver Island. Perfectly situated for easy access to all the adventures Vancouver Island has to offer whether that be surf, ski, swim, bike, or hike…it’s all hereThe clientsWe serve a diverse mix of clientele from Fallers and mill workers to athletes and weekend warriors The clinic is accessible, located within a new commercial development complex.

We have contracts to treat Hip and knee arthroplasty post-op patients as well as WSBC and ICBC clients.Responsibilities:- Conduct assessments to identify patients’ physical problems and develop individualized treatment plans.- Implement therapeutic exercises and techniques to improve patients’ mobility, strength, and overall physical function.- Educate patients and their families on at-home exercises and self-care techniques.- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.Experience:- Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy- Valid state license as a Physiotherapist.- Prior experience preferred but mentorship and clinical supervision can be provided.- Proficiency in computers an advantage. We utilise the JaneApp software- Experience with MSK outpatients, orthopaedics and sports injury rehabilitations is a plus.- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to provide compassionate patient care.Join our team as a Physiotherapist and make a difference in the lives of our patients.
