Plant Manager – Meat Processing Plant Location: Vancouver, BC Reporting To: Director Operations Job Summary: The Plant Manager at our client’s meat processing facility in Vancouver is tasked with overseeing the production of top-quality meat products. This role ensures the plant runs efficiently while meeting safety, quality, and productivity standards. The Plant Manager leads and supports the production team, manages scheduling, and spearheads continuous improvement initiatives, playing a key role in fostering a safe, efficient, and positive work environment.

Responsibilities: Oversee daily plant operations, develop and update production schedules, and ensure compliance with company standards. Lead, support, and supervise production staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Maintain a safe work environment, enforce health and safety regulations, and support the development of safety programs.

Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure production meets regulatory certification requirements and review Critical Control Point reporting. Control inventory levels, coordinate with finance and business development teams, and manage processing supplies. Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and troubleshoot production issues.

Requirements: Over 10 years in maintenance, engineering, and/or operations management roles is preferred within a food manufacturing facility Proven ability to manage production teams, including scheduling, training, and performance management. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team. Experience with continuous improvement projects Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant workplace, with knowledge of health and safety regulations.
