Job Description
Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to operating and maintaining equipment associated with product transfers, inventory control, terminal security, facility maintenance, warehouse control, coordinating (via pipeline) product delivery, tank farm inspections, pipeline ROW surveillance, dock watch and housekeeping. This position will perform all tasks in accordance with company EH&S policies and procedures, local, provincial and government regulations.
- Monitor the receipt of Jet Fuel from vessels; perform gauging duties in accordance with documented Quality Control (QC) routines; perform sampling duties in accordance with documented Quality Assurance (QA) routines; operate and direct flow to/from filtration skids.
- Ensure safe storage and distribution of product from vessels and pipelines.
- Understand liquid measurement principles, such as flow metering and water cut.
- Operate terminal vehicles, including but limited to forklifts.
- Operate, maintain and repair motors, pumps, valves, tanks and other equipment associated with product handling and logistics; or, facilitate 3rd parties to do the same under work permit.
- Perform clerical and office work as required, including input of inventories, meter totals, QA/QC results.
- Perform Control Test(s) on product.
- Maintain pump and motor oil levels as required
Please note that successful candidates will have to complete Drug & Alcohol Testing and allow SGS to complete a Criminal Background Check, a 5 year driver abstract review and reference check.
Qualifications
- Education: High school Diploma (or equivalent) is required.
- Successful candidates will have to complete Drug & Alcohol Testing.
- Provide a 5 year Driver’s Abstract,
- Complete a Criminal Background Check and provide 2 professional work references
- Experience: 0-1 years of relevant work experience required or equivalent experience through education.
- Previous experience in a Petroleum Refinery field would be a strong asset.
- Ability and willingness to work rotating on-call shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime.
- Organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Sufficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors
