This role is a key part of our commercial banking team reporting directly into the Deputy Manager & Commercial Banking Lead and works collaboratively with CWB Wealth to develop and execute a united client acquisition and management strategy while maintaining adherence to the banks’ risk appetite. Assists in the design, development and delivery of solutions that meet the client’s complex personalized needs. Works collaboratively with all specialized partners within CWBFG to identify opportunities.Areas of focus / What you’ll be doingBest for Clients• Creation, initiation, and execution of a high-level Business Development strategy focused on increasing Personal Banking solutions to high-net-worth business owner clients and prospects• Responsible for proactive sourcing and management of new business opportunities including identifying opportunities for integration with other CWB (Canadian Western Bank) business Lines, specifically Commercial and Wealth Management• Responsible for driving a highly personalized, seamless, “concierge-like” experience for new and existing high net worth business clients through full-service solutions and services• Responsible for developing and enhancing/expanding existing client relationships• Provides proactive advice to high net worth clients and their families and work alongside other advisors (CWB Wealth, Accountants, Lawyers, etc) to develop and execute on a comprehensive financial plan.• Cultivates an active network of Centre of Influence (COI) to generate referral business• May be targeted to specific client segments or industries• Manage a client portfolio of over 20MM in assets and lending with CWB Financial GroupBest for Investors• Ensure regular banking centre activities with the Commercial Relationship Managers, by referrals or joint client meetings, to identify opportunities with clients including a comprehensive suite of personal products and services for the principals of the businesses, their families, and their employees.• Proactively solicit and identify deposit opportunities from prospects and clients across Personal, Commercial and Cash Management clients ensuring suitable products for clients and appropriate pricing.• Proactively solicit and identify referral opportunities to CWB Partners, specifically including Wealth Management, Real Estate, Auto Finance Group, Equipment, and Maxium Financial.• Work closely with the Private Wealth Specialist team to make qualified referrals and jointly meet with clients• Analyze, prepare, recommend credit requests working with Credit Support, ensuring applications exhibit quality risk assessment and analysis as well as appropriate pricing.• Ensure regular banking centre activities are consistently followed to ensure effective client contact is maintained to develop relationships and identify client needs, as well as to probe/listen for new growth opportunities.• Participate in business development activities outside of CWB to generate business and enhance CWB’s image with clients, the industry, and the community.• Ensure the safety of the Bank’s funds through proper loan portfolio management focusing on loan quality, exposure “know-how”Education• Diploma/Degree in related field• PFP or commitment to acquire a PFP designation within (36) months is requiredProfessional Experience• Minimum 5 years banking experience and a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of retail lending.• Commercial banking experience is an asset• Proven experience in business development activities specific to marketing, sales and relationship management• Former Private Banking experience as an assetDemonstrated experience / Relevant “can do” experience• Strong knowledge of all Bank products & services.• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude• Ensures and maintains client satisfaction with the product and services offered by CWB and our partner companies• Proven
