Program Instructor

THE ROLE

The Program Instructor plans, organizes and delivers classes and prepares class schedules, designs programs and assist with advertising and public relations information, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses


High school diploma AND some years experience conducting classes, such as yoga and pilates


AND

Current program certification, such as Yoga Instructor and Pilates Instructor


Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications


Experience

Knowledge of instructional techniques, group dynamics, health and safety practices, and injury prevention


In planning, organizing, and delivering classes

In monitoring and controlling large groups of participants

In ensuring safety protocols and procedures


In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail and Internet browsing

Competencies, Skills and Abilities

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.


LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

English Essential / Bilingual (English and French) an asset

Oral: Functional

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.


The successful candidate will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check.
