Project Chief Body Closures - Senior
Job Summary
Our client in Windsor, ON is seeking a Project Chief Body Closures - Senior for a contract position.
Responsibilities
The Project Chief will oversee all Closures commodities (Door In White, Hood, Fender, Static and Dynamic Sealing, Liftgates) for vehicle programs, from start to finish. Responsibilities include collaborating with Product Planning and Design Office early in the program, tracking sourcing and design release, managing testing plans, supporting supplier and plant launches, and handling warranty or quality issues post-launch.
Basics
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering design and component development.
- Strong communication and project leadership skills.
- Automotive engineering or manufacturing background.
- Hybrid work arrangement : 75% onsite, 25% remote.
- Travel : 0-15% for regional supplier reviews.
Preferred
- Experience with design, development, and release of Closures components.
- Knowledge of DFSS, DFMEA, and validation processes.
- Leadership experience in engineering teams.
