<h5>Project Director - GOAPRDJP00000705</h5> <p>Work remotely; however, the resource may be required to attend meetings or work sessions in office on reasonable notice from the Province. This can be up to 4 times a year pending on demand</p> <p>9888 JASPER AVE<br>Edmonton<br></p> <p>Contract 5 months, possible extension of 1 year</p> <p>Standard Background check required<br></p> <p>1. Leading business transformation activities and Product Owners in support of Land Titles Registries Modernization, inclusive of the management of numerous interrelated projects, and consultation with key stakeholders to define and prioritize product direction to deliver the highest value<br>· Ensuring divisional policies and programs enable and align with digitization work.<br>· Product Owner coordination and support to holistically develop consistent and aligned structures and mechanisms to engage staff at all levels to identify and prioritize service modernization opportunities to redesign and innovate the delivery of registry services - with a focus on improved client and employee experience and making recommendations to executive management and governing bodies.<br>· Undertaking/supporting assessments and developing recommendations on technology and sourcing strategies to successfully replace high-risk legacy systems in alignment with the Registries Modernization multi-year roadmap.<br><br>2. Delivering modernized and digital solutions for the replacement of existing enterprise legacy systems.<br>· Completion of regular status reports, including monitoring product progress against schedule, costs, and contractor timesheets.<br>· Leading and aligning numerous interrelated Product Owner evaluation activities for Land Titles Registries Modernization to ensure outcomes and results, spanning from operational effectiveness and efficiencies realized and cost savings generated, are captured and reported.<br>· Providing oversight and coordination to Product Owners and professional staff who are responsible for product management, delivery, and coordination on a day to day basis. This includes oversight of staff priorities.<br>· Collaborating with government technology partners within the Ministry of Technology and Innovation (TI) to develop short term, medium and long term product roadmaps, strategies and plans for ongoing sustainability, and ensuring the ongoing and incremental delivery of benefits to Albertans and staff.<br>· Ensure the delivery of aligned and logically sequenced modernized and digital solutions for the incremental replacement of existing enterprise legacy systems<br></p> <p>3. Risk management analysis, including the development of risk mitigation strategies and recommendations to the Executive Director, and other governance structures to facilitate decision-making related to the development of new digital services.<br>· Identifying barriers to change and recommending mitigation strategies.<br><br>4. Expert advice on the Land Title modernization options, and how it will impact the overall goals of the project, including budget, scope and timelines. Direction and monitoring of teams in the delivery of that direction.</p> <p>Must-Have's</p> <ul><li>Experience leading large enterprise-scale projects and programs. -<strong> 6 YEARS</strong></li><li>Experience working on agile software development and modern, service design based product delivery comparable in size and complexity for a large organization such as state, provincial, or federal government or a private company with 5,000 or more employees or for a startup or small business addressing a complex challenge at scale. - <strong>6 YEARS</strong></li><li>Senior leadership experience defining project scope, goals and deliverables such as roadmaps, governance, briefing notes, and business cases that support project goals in collaboration with business stakeholders. -<strong>  4 YEARS</strong></li><li>Experience as Program Manager managing a portfolio of projects by providing governance, prioritizing, monitoring, reporting at a Program level. -<strong> 6 YEARS</strong></li></ul> <p><strong>Nice-to-Have's:</strong></p> <ul><li>Experience identifying, analyzing and managing project risks on large, complex projects. - <strong>5 YEARS</strong></li><li>Experience in managing project/program financials such as budgeting and forecasts. -<strong> 3 YEARS</strong></li><li>Experience making decisions and recommendations on highly technical or complex issues without formal guidelines or precedents and exercises resourcefulness and ingenuity - <strong>6 YEARS</strong></li><li>Experience supporting and collaborating directly with stakeholders, external (public users) and internal business areas. Ability to co-ordinate and communicate necessary information well to all clients. -  <strong>6 YEARS </strong></li><li>Senior leadership experience defining program goals in collaboration with business stakeholders. -<strong> 4 YEARS</strong></li><li>Senior leadership experience within a complex, business and technical IT environment. - <strong>4 YEARS</strong></li><li>Experience in developing project schedule plans and strategies, estimate resource requirements, develop and monitor work plans for completion of project tasks. - <strong> 6 YEARS</strong></li></ul>
