Responsibilities: Project Estimating: On-Site Tender Meetings: Attend and actively participate in on-site tender meetings to gather essential project details. Project Specifications and Drawings: Thoroughly review and interpret project specifications and drawings to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the project scope.
Quantitative Surveying: Conduct detailed quantitative surveys of existing conditions to accurately assess project requirements. Sub-Contractor Pricing: Secure competitive pricing from subcontractors, ensuring all quotes are comprehensive and align with project needs. Documentation: Prepare and submit all necessary documents, including bonding, insurance, health and safety documents, and any other prescribed documents at the time of tender submission.
Additional Work Estimation: Identify and estimate additional work required for existing contracts as circumstances arise, ensuring all changes are documented and approved. Project Management: Contract Documentation: Provide all required contract documentation and accompanying documents to respective parties involved prior to project commencement. Start-Up Coordination: Coordinate project start-up activities with clients/consultants and internal production supervisors to ensure a smooth project initiation.
Sub-Contractor Coordination: Effectively coordinate and manage subcontractors, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards. Scheduling and Reporting : Develop and maintain project schedules, providing regular updates and reports to clients/consultants and internal production supervisors. This includes attending and contributing to on-site meetings as required.
Progress Invoicing: Manage and maintain progress invoicing, including calculating and documenting hold-back amounts and ensuring all prescribed accompanying documentation is provided. Contract Close-Out: Prepare and provide all necessary contract close-out documentation, ensuring all project requirements are met and documented. Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and estimating within the building envelope and/or exterior restoration industry.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting project specifications and drawings. Software Proficiency: Experience with project management and estimating software. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimating and project documentation. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team, including subcontractors and internal staff. Documentation: Experience preparing and managing comprehensive project documentation. Flexibility: Willingness to attend on-site meetings and adapt to changing project requirements.
