POSITION SUMMARY:

As a key member of the Quality Assurance team, the Line Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all manufactured parts meet Carfair's internal quality control standards, including compliance with blueprints, shop drawings, and fiberglass specifications. This position plays an important role in maintaining product consistency, accuracy, and overall customer satisfaction.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Reads and interprets blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Performs inspections at various production stages to ensure all parts meet internal and customer standards.
  • Conducts final inspection and verification of all finished parts for dimensional accuracy and cosmetic quality.
  • Completes First Article Inspections (FAI) and verification reports as required.
  • Accurately marks parts and verifies that all dimensions conform to approved drawings.
  • Identifies and reports on all non-conformities.
  • Submits inspection reports and documentation to the Quality Assurance Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Supports and actively participates in Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives.
  • Utilizes appropriate measuring tools and equipment effectively and safely.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment by following all safety and housekeeping rules and regulations.
  • Exercises sound judgment, initiative, and attention to detail in daily tasks.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Previous experience in quality inspection, manufacturing or composite/fiberglass production preferred
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and thickness gauges.
  • Knowledge of fiberglass materials and finishes is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
