Bindery Machine Operator – Future Opportunities
Location: Mississauga (Client site – GTA; details provided during screening)
Shifts: Weekday shifts (details below)
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Status: Full-time only
Start Dates: To be confirmed — These roles are upcoming and not available for immediate placement


We’re hiring Bindery Machine Operators to support the production of high-quality booklets for the pharmaceutical industry. This work demands precision, consistency, and a strong commitment to quality in order to meet strict regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review job specifications carefully and complete all required documentation to meet production and compliance standards
  • Operate folding machinery to produce booklets that meet exact pharmaceutical requirements
  • Monitor machine performance, prevent jams, and conduct regular quality checks to identify and correct issues quickly
  • Prepare packaging materials (trays, cartons) and shrink-wrap finished products for distribution
  • Set up and run Longford and outsert machines, ensuring accuracy and efficiency for each production run
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to maintain machine readiness
  • Collaborate with quality inspectors and conduct final quality checks in line with industry regulations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while assisting with additional production tasks as required


Qualifications

  • 2–3 years of machine operation experience, preferably in pharmaceutical or paper manufacturing
  • Hands-on experience with at least one acceptable machine type (listed below) — applications lacking this experience will not be considered
  • Excellent attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Physically able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for 10-hour shifts
  • Strong attendance, punctuality, and willingness to learn new processes or machinery
  • CSA-approved safety shoes and reliable transportation (required due to shift times and location)


Training & Growth

  • Comprehensive training program (1–3 months) covering machine operation and quality control procedures


Shift Information

  • Monday to Thursday: 3:48 pm – 1:48 am
  • Monday to Thursday: 6:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Future possibility: Weekend shifts (Friday–Sunday, 10-hour shifts) — not currently available
  • Reliable transportation required; transit may not operate during end-of-shift hours


Acceptable Machinery Experience

(Must have hands-on experience with at least one)

  • Paper Feeders (vacuum or friction)
  • Folding Machines (e.g., GUK, Stahlfolder)
  • Booklet Makers (e.g., Horizon StitchLiner, Duplo)
  • Collating Machines (e.g., Duplo, Horizon)
  • Inserter Machines (e.g., Robatech, MGS)
  • Guillotine Cutters / Slitters (e.g., Polar Mohr)
  • Stacker Machines (e.g., Palamides)
  • Quality Control Vision Systems (e.g., Cognex)
  • Conveyor systems & PLC-controlled packaging lines
