Quality Assurance (QA) Manager – Manufacturing / Co-Packing

Location: Toronto, ON
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Flexibility for overtime when required)

Fuze HR is partnering with a well-established co-packing and packaging solutions provider that services major Canadian and US brands. We’re on the hunt for a Quality Assurance Manager who can bring leadership, structure, and a continuous improvement mindset to their growing team.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead all aspects of Quality Assurance operations and oversee the QA/QC team.
  • Ensure GMP and SOP compliance across production lines.
  • Manage the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and maintain audit readiness.
  • Conduct internal, external, and client audits, and ensure CAPAs are tracked and completed.
  • Represent QA in client meetings, RFQs, and quality reviews.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, and Client Services to resolve quality issues and improve performance.
  • Drive training, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives across departments.
  • Approve quality documentation, batch records, and final product releases.
  • Take ownership of supplier approvals, calibration processes, and audit planning.

What You Bring

  • Post-secondary education in Quality, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a QA leadership role (preferably in food, packaging, or pharmaceutical manufacturing).
  • Solid understanding of GMP, QMS, and regulatory standards.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills — you lead with confidence, not ego.
  • Proven ability to manage audits, investigations, and client relationships.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive — you anticipate challenges before they arise.
