We have built over 4,000 modular structures for use in Alberta, BC, SK, the Yukon and Northwest Territories. These structures are in use at over 900 locations serving the education, accommodation, telecommunication, quick service restaurant and oil & gas sectors. We are currently expanding into the Residential, Hotel and Agricultural Grow industries.

Role Description As a member of the QA/QC team, the QA/QC Inspector will be responsible for quality assurance audits to the quality assurance programs that are in place to verify that the quality programs are being followed by all stakeholders involved in the quality process. The QA/ QC Inspector maintains QA/QC documentation for record keeping and third-party certification requirements. Location: This role is office & plant based at our 135,000 square feet manufacturing facility 20 minutes North of Calgary in Crossfield, Alberta, strategically located near a High Load Corridor which allows us to transport loads up to 9 meters high to many parts of Alberta, Saskatchewan, BC, and the United States.

Our employees live in Calgary, Airdrie and surrounding communities. Responsibilities Ensure accuracy of certification logs Compliance with Modus policies. Issue CSA-A277 ITP Checklist and Test books for projects being manufactured Maintain CSA-A277 ITP documentation Maintain and monitor calibration certificates.

Advise applicable departments when re-calibration of equipment is coming due. Create and issue CSA-A277 Specification Nameplates, and affix to module upon completion Order CSA-A277 labels and affix to the modules upon completion Maintain the CSA-A277 log sheet and submit to the Certification Authority per their submission criteria Order, issue and affix the Modus Nameplate Plaque for each module. Perform CSA-A277 audits for modules being manufactured.

Issue NCR reports as necessary Assist the QA/QC Manager in leading the Corrective Action and Preventive Action Plans Perform QA/QC audits for the SIP Panel line: Pull Tests, Documentation, Materials Assist the Project Manager in the creation of any site ITP’s when they are required. Prepare LEED reports for Project Management to submit. Apply for third party inspection permits (Plumbing, Gas, Electrical) when required.

Escort 3rd party inspectors at the plant. Participate in inspections when given the chance Qualifications & Experience Completion of post-secondary program in a related field 3 – 5 years’ experience in quality assurance, or quality control in a Construction or Manufacturing environment. Modular Building experience an asset.

Familiarity with BC, AB, SK, MB and National Building Code Requirements and Standards. Strong ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, and related design documentation. Excellent ability with MS Office including Excel, MS Project and Word and Web-based applications Strong communication, interpersonal, organization skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Critical thinking, decision-making, continuous learning, numeracy, and significant use of memory. Highly detail oriented and amazing proof-reading skills. Excellent ability to prioritize, problem solve and work under tight deadlines in a dynamic fast paced environment, with fluctuating work times.

Fall arrest certification is mandatory (the company can assist with certification).
