Job Summary:

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety at our facility. You will actively communicate with the Quality Assurance department, address quality issues promptly, and contribute to the implementation and documentation of our HACCP/food safety and quality programs. Your proactive attitude and attention to detail will ensure that our products consistently meet the applicable Regulatory standards.

Essential Functions:


· Daily communication with the Quality Assurance department to report and address any quality issues within the facility.

· Embrace a proactive and diligent approach to completing tasks and resolving problems.

· Adhere to and advocate for the company’s Good Manufacturing Practices, Safety Guidelines, and Quality Control Standards.


· Collaborate with the HACCP team leader and senior management to effectively implement food safety and quality programs.

· Complete necessary documentation for the HACCP/food safety and quality programs as per regulatory and company requirements.

· Identify and address gaps in food safety procedures on the production floor.


· Conduct routine monitoring and verification tasks as outlined by the Quality Assurance department and within the HACCP and quality programs.

· Participate in and possibly facilitate employee training sessions based on the requirements of the food safety and quality programs.

· Report any violations of food safety, quality policies, or company standards to the HACCP team leader promptly.


· Train employees as per the company’s requirements.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

· Follow all company guidelines and fulfill additional duties as assigned.


· Provide coverage for QA tasks during extended operational hours as needed.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Performs other similar or related duties as necessary.

Job Qualification:


· Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

· Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented mindset.

· Experience in a food manufacturing environment and knowledge of HACCP principles preferred.


· Commitment to upholding company standards and enhancing food safety and quality.

  • Graduate degree in biotechnology, food science.
  • HACCP knowledge
  • Knowledge of MS Word & Microsoft Excel
  • Fluent in English (speaking and writing)
  • Experience in Food quality programs an asset
