What you will be doing:
As a Regional Sales Director you will manage a team of sales professionals that includes both independent and employee sales representatives. Your ultimate objective is to achieve the annual revenue and profitability objectives for your region. Specific geographical responsibility will be comprised of aprox 14 individual states in the Central/North East with 7 independent rep groups and 1 company rep. Additional territory responsibility may be added in future as required.
Key Responsibilities:
•Developing and executing a regional business plan that encompasses dealer development as well as A&D and strategic account business development.
•Managing day to day operations of your team including budget utilization, sampling and discount management.
•Managing the sales pipeline and quantity/quality of new opportunity creation using data from our CRM system.
•Implement sales and marketing programs within the sales region.
•Maintaining key business relationships in the region with A&D firms, dealerships, and strategic accounts.
•Assessing performance, determine assignments and objectives and provides regular coaching and developmental guidance.
•Selects candidates to fill vacancies on their team.
•Determines appropriate sales volume targets for each team member in collaboration with the Vice President of Sales, based on annual company revenue goals.
•Collaborate with vertical market program directors to develop segment specific business.
Who You Are (Skill/Abilities):
•Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of people throughout the company and external audiences. Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
•In-depth understanding of the contract furniture industry.
•Strategic selling, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
•Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
•Self-motivated, self-directed and willing to accept responsibility for results.
•Successful track record developing strong business results and relationships with all key audiences.
•Ability to maintain key business relationship in the region with principals of dealerships, A&D firms, and key accounts.
•Ability to resolve conflicts within the distribution channel. Keep regular contact, establish market impact, and demonstrate ability to increase Allseating mindshare with key audiences.
•Can step into sales process and have immediate impact to help close business, while coaching development of sales team members.
Background and Experience:
This is a leadership role that typically requires 10+ years relevant Sales/Business Development, experience, preferably within the Manufacturing and/or Dealership space . Contract furniture industry experience is highly valuable. Prior management or people leadership experience is preferred. Compensation will include base plus bonus for sales performance, car allowance, expenses and healthcare supplement. This is a 1099 role.
