Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Registered Pharmacy technician Compounding Supervisor to join our Central Solutions site in Burnaby, BC . It is a closed-door central fill facility. Job Description: The Pharmacy Technician will take on the role of Non-sterile Compounding Supervisor to develop, manage and oversee all non-sterile compounding activities in accordance with NAPRA standards. Responsibilities : – Receive and transcribe compound orders from pharmacies practitioners. – Prepare and process prescriptions by performing duties such as entering orders, counting, measuring, compounding, packaging, or repackaging medications. – Perform the final check of compounded non-sterile preparations. – Oversee Pharmacy Assistants to ensure efficient and safe compounding practices.
Ensure all requirements are met relating to personnel, facilities, and compounded preparations. Maintain current policies and procedures and develop new SOPs as necessary. Oversee and maintain MFRs and Risk assessments. QA/QC maintenance as per NAPRA standards.
Compound, prepare and check non-sterile preparations as necessary. Assist in daily tasks of the lab including cleaning duties. Provide daily support to compounding staff. Report directly to the compounding pharmacist manager.
Qualifications & Skills : Licensed and in good standing with College of Pharmacists of British Columbia Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong leadership, organizational skills, and attention to detail Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
