Registered X-Ray Technologist

Job Description

As a MRT technologist of an approved site of the Ontario Breast Screening Program, the incumbent performs mammograms within policies and procedures for both the Canadian Association of Radiologists (CAR) and OBSP quality programs. The OBSP mammography technologist accepts the responsibility for client-centered care and for personal effective team functioning amongst peers and other members of the integrated cancer screening offices. Liaises with the Radiologist to ensure the technical quality of images is of the highest quality.

1. Graduate of an approved training program in Radiological Technology 
2. Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment 
3. Current CMRTO registration is required 
4. CAMRT certificate in Breast Imaging 
5. Minimum two years current mammography experience, performing a minimum of 40 to 80 mammograms per month 
6. Previous Radiological QC experience and/or Radiological QC certificate 
7. Current BCLS certification is an asset 
8. Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment. 
9. Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset. 
10. Experience in and sensitivity to working with multi-cultural clientele and issues 
11. Flexibility in working hours is required as dictated by the needs of the program 
12. Must have own transportation and be able and willing to travel to the coach's designated location when assigned.
