Role: Field Service Technician
Length: 3 Month Contract (Potential for Extension)
Location: Quebec, St. Laurent
Office policy: 5 days in office and on-call
Hours: Monday-Friday : 8 hours per day- Ability to work non-traditional work schedule, which may include extended hours including evenings, weekends, and participate in on-call duties
Rate: $35-39/hour
Hays Specialist Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Field Service/Repair Technician to join our team on a temporary basis. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service through the preparation, delivery, servicing, and return of medical equipment. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring equipment is sanitized, tested, and ready for patient use, while maintaining compliance with medical device regulations and company policies.
Your Responsibilities:
- Prepare medical equipment for patient use, including sanitization, disinfection, quality control testing, and packaging.
- Deliver and retrieve equipment from customer locations using a company-provided vehicle.
- Respond to product inquiries and address customer needs with professionalism and care.
- Maintain accurate records and follow company procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Support the upkeep of a clean, safe, and organized service center and company vehicle.
- Assist in maintaining Occupational Health and Safety standards within the work environment.
What you need to succeed:
- Full bilingual fluency is required in English and French
- Minimum of 1 year of customer-facing experience in a private, public, government, or military setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (3-year abstract required).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Willingness to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and participate in on-call rotations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in all business interactions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher in a relevant field.
- Experience working non-traditional schedules and adapting to dynamic work environments.
