The Business Process Automation & Innovation team is focused on delivering process automation solutions that allow our business to improve customer responsiveness. This mandate will be fulfilled by using technology solutions such as Robotics Process Automation (RPA). The team will also support research and understanding of how emerging technologies are adopted, and prove out innovative technology solutions to increase productivity.
As a RPA Developer, you will be part of the delivery team that develops process automation solutions, to resolve business process challenges. We will draw on your work experiences in software development of technology solutions and your ability to work efficiently with remote teams to achieve this.
Your key focus and deliverables:
Perform application development and system configuration on RPA software to meet the solution design requirements.
Supports the creation of Solution Design Documents (SDD) and supports creation of the Process Design Documents (PDD) through interfacing with customers, participate in architectural reviews for the process automation solutions.
Coordinate code migration and change implementation through to production, and ensure code backfill is completed for various environments.
Ensure process automation solutions adherence to governance, standards and practices of the centre of excellence.
Identifies, defines and promotes process automation design principles and standards for developing and executing automation processes.
Contribute to the development of the process automation solution design and code reviews, and supports the development test cases with the delivery team.
Perform various types testing (eg. unit, functional, regression) and ensure defects are resolved within acceptable timelines.
Position Requirements:
To make an immediate contribution in this critical Business Process Automation & Innovation role, you will have demonstrated experience in the following:
Experience working on growing agile teams tasked with rapid delivery of RPA solutions, and experience developing solutions and supporting Blue Prism, and Automation Anywhere.
Working knowledge of application development using C#, Java, MS SQL, .NET, XML, HTML, CSS, Perl, PowerShell, SSL/TLS, LDAP, Python, and Oracle.
Experience in developing technology that has resulted in/shifted/changed corporate culture, and understanding of how other companies leverage process automation services.
Experience in being part of / leading technical proof of concepts of proven newer technologies that could bring potential business value to different lines of business.
Foster innovative ideas through strong critical thinking and analytical skills, leveraging new technical capabilities to solve business problems and improve user experience.
Communicating objectives to the business, troubleshooting and providing creative methods, and ensuring progress is tracked to development objectives.
Working experience in an agile environment with technology-based tools or methodologies including JIRA, SVN, GIT and SDLC to review, design, and/or implement technology solutions.
Working within a complex environment and understanding the implications of regulatory requirements for security and audit as it pertains to technology solutions.
Building strong working relationships with product vendors, consulting partners, clients and stakeholders.
Your experience is supported by a technical or business degree. An industry recognized certification (e.g. CISSP, PMP (Project Management Professional), MCSE, etc.) would be an asset.

Work arrangements defined:
Resident – you will work at your primary in-office headquarters on all scheduled work days.
Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
Hybrid 10 – you will work a minimum of 10 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically one week in/one week out or up to 3 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
Mobile – you will work a significant amount of time in the field, in addition to working from an office and optionally working remotely within British Columbia.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $43.60-$47.10 per hour
