About the Role DDS Wireless International is looking for a Sales Business Development professional to join our expanding sales team.
The ideal candidate will have a hunter mentality and have experience in one or more of the following SAAS, Taxi, Paratransit and/or Public Transportation Industries. You will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and managing opportunities through the sales cycle, negotiating beneficial business terms, and securing multi-year contracts to establish long-term relationships with new clients and retaining existing clients. This position reports to the Vice President, Sales. The successful candidate will be based in Canada, British Columbia.
Responsibilities · Consistently meeting sales quotas including hunting business development, outbound activity, new logo attainment, and market expansion · Understanding your core market, use cases, terminology, and trends impacting their business and ultimately becoming a trusted advisor to your clients · Build pipelines of customers to introduce new products into new markets · Participate in key industry events to secure new prospects, new partners and demonstrate DDS Wireless International industry leader position · Develop new contacts through outbound phone and email outreach, virtual meetings, and in-person conference attendance · Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in Salesforce; providing data that will allow DDS to refine our market focus and product roadmap · Collaborate with colleagues in pre-sales, marketing, and customer success to provide an amazing customer-first experience · Stay up-to-date with the latest market intelligence regarding the transportation and Routing as a Service (RAAS) environment · Maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout the sales & relationship lifecycle, escalating critical issues where needed · Deliver highly effective discovery sessions to understand the prospect’s business needs, priorities, budget, timing, and key KPIs · Manage customer account plans, sales engagement strategies, inbound, outbound activities, lead generation activities, creative and professional customer engagement Qualifications · 7 years of quota-carrying experience in business development and selling SaaS solutions · 7 years’ experience in selling SaaS solutions preferably in the public transportation industries focused on trucking, bus, taxi, ride-share, and fleet management sectors · 5 years experience with expanding business into new products and markets · Excellent thought leadership skills, enhanced problem solving, and able to guide growth strategies and new business development · Strong history of quota attainment for deals over $1M (proven negotiation and closing skills) · Sales hunter mentality with an entrepreneurial spirit · Energetic, engaged, personality, positive attitude, creative, want to work for a rewarding and innovative company with leading product and 35-year history but operating in a start-up mentality. · Excel at connecting with client and building positive relationships through written, verbal, and electronic communication · Willingness understand and communicate the underlying technology to business prospects · Strong prospecting, qualification, and negotiations skills with a business solution-centric mindset · A roll-up your sleeves mentality with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment · Prior success in capturing market share from competitors Great to have Experience and Qualifications: · Established network of contacts in transportation space · Existing knowledge of AI in routing and scheduling dispatch systems · Product awareness and insight of competitive environment globally · An undergraduate degree is preferred, not essential · Proven experience managing deal sizes of $1M and managing financial PNL · Comfortable with sales cycles of business development Hybrid and Flexible Work Arrangement We offer hybrid and flexible work arrangements to provide and opportunity for our employees to explore the benefits of working both from home and the Company’s physical office.
