Job Title: Security Professional

Location: Hamilton,ON 
Job Type: Full-Time

Availability Required :  Full availability 

Shifts: Monday - Friday - 0900-1730

Pay Rate : $19.71  per hour

Overview:

Allied Universal is currently hiring Security Professionals to provide professional in Niagara Falls, Ontario . This role is ideal for individuals with strong customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and a background in corporate security.

Responsibilities: 

• Present a polished, professional, customer-friendly image at all times 
• Escort guards are required to escort contractors and guest through the facility. 
• Incident response, patrols and inspections of space and equipment 
• Liaise with the Corporate security program to compound incident response 
• Record activities and incidents via security tours
• Cross-training in other security positions as required (e.g. card holder administration assistance). 
• Ability to manage conflicts and incidents and to de-escalate 
• Ensure that the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site emergencies 
• Demonstrate good judgment, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents 
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Must demonstrate strong de-escalation skills when confronted with difficult situations 

Requirement:

• Must have at least 1 year experience in a security field
• Must be above 18 years of age
• Must have a valid Ontario Security guard license
• Valid (full) provincial drivers license is an asset
• Must have a valid first aid CPR 
• Ability to operate technology and wireless communication systems at client-specific sites.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
• Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 kilograms.
• Strong customer service ability
• Successful candidate is required to attend Crisis Management and De-Escalation training
