Allied Universal is seeking a Professional Security Guard in Portage la Prairie, MB.

Job Title: Security Guard 

Job Location: Portage la Prairie, MB

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $17.70 per hour

Shifts: 2300-0700 Monday - Friday  

Overview :

Allied Universal is seeking an experienced Security guard to oversee security operations at our Canadian site in Portage la Prairie. 

Requirement:

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Valid MB security guard license.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada over 40 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
• Must be proficient using computer
• Must be living in Portage la Prairie.

Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions :

• Access control for the facility/area
• Present a polished, professional, customer friendly image at all times
• Ensure that the facility's safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
• Undertake site specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment, Completion of site required training
• Vehicle Gate and Console duties
