Senior Accountant

Horizon Recruitment Inc. has an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Senior Accountant with an up and coming tech-enabled service company based in downtown Vancouver. Working primarily remotely, this person will own the full-cycle accounting process and work with leadership to help develop financial systems, streamline procedures, and deliver key financial insights. Responsibilities: Manage financial reporting, reporting, general ledger, and journal entries Oversee core accounting functions including revenue recognition and cash management Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the Board, creditors, and management Develop and maintain robust financial systems, policies, procedures, and controls Handle accounting for stock-based compensation Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and reporting requirements Provide financial guidance and support for growth and scaling Contribute to financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving measures Requirements: 6 years of accounting experience, including 3 years of full-cycle accounting CPA designation (Canadian or US) Expertise in technical accounting, especially within technology sectors Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams Proactive problem-solving abilities Experience with multi-currency, multi-entity accounting, and consolidations Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct) Knowledge of Canadian tax regulations and reporting requirements Capable of working independently in a remote setting while staying connected with the team Rewards: $85-95k Only candidates eligible to work in Canada will be considered Horizon Recruitment Inc. is a specialized recruitment and search firm with two complimentary practice areas: Finance & Supply Chain.
