Senior Accounting Manager (Hybrid)

<p><p>Join Homebase as a Senior Accounting Manager, leading accounting operations and mentoring a team of accountants.</p>
<h3>Location and Salary</h3>
<p>Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Salary: CA$110,000–CA$125,000.</p>
<h3>Role</h3>
<ul>
<li>Own and manage month‑end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting under US GAAP; handle ASC 606, ASC 985, ASC 842, ASC 326.</li>
<li>Lead the year‑end audit, overseeing audited financial statements, notes, supporting schedules, and liaising with external auditors.</li>
<li>Support revenue recognition per ASC 606 across product lines.</li>
<li>Assist with corporate tax compliance and filings (SR&ED, transfer pricing, US sales tax, HST).</li>
<li>Manage and mentor a team of two Senior Accountants, providing guidance and development.</li>
<li>Partner cross‑functionally to provide accounting insights for budgeting and variance analysis; lead monthly financial review.</li>
<li>Drive continuous improvement and challenge existing processes.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Active CPA designation and bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.</li>
<li>At least 7 years of accounting experience, 1‑2 years as a direct manager, mix of Big 4 audit and industry experience.</li>
<li>Strong familiarity with US GAAP/IFRS, complex financial reporting in multi‑entity and multi‑currency environments.</li>
<li>Proficiency in NetSuite and Google Sheets preferred.</li>
<li>Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, independent and collaborative work.</li>
