Project Overview:

The Technology and Innovation (TI) branch at Treasury Board & Finance seeks a skilled Senior Application Developer to support the Financial Sector Regulation and Policy (FSRP) division. You’ll play a key role in developing and maintaining critical applications used for pension and insurance regulation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using .NET C# and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Build user-friendly interfaces for both desktop and web applications.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver solutions that meet strategic needs.
• Lead the development process, ensuring adherence to application architecture and coding best practices.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code with minimal defects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues, identifying root causes and recommending solutions.
• Participate in Agile methodology and continuous integration/delivery practices.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with pension plan financial filings and regulations.
• Familiarity with Angular Typescript web development.
• Knowledge of DEV Express Framework or Microsoft Composite UI Application Block.
• Experience with Power BI reporting and SQL Server Analysis Services.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience building enterprise applications with .NET C# and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Proven ability to design and implement complex databases.
• Experience with ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, and GIT version control.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
