Location: Calgary, Alberta, Canada Job Description: SMART Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Developer . This is a unique opportunity for a versatile individual to be a leader in the development, customization, and deployment of Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations (D365 F&O), while also providing functional insight into optimizing business processes. In this role, you will: Design, develop, and implement custom solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.

Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements. Provide functional expertise and guide process optimization using D365 F&O.

Develop and configure workflows, reports, and integrations with other systems. Troubleshoot and resolve complex functional and technical issues. Perform unit and integration testing to ensure the quality of solutions.

Participate in upgrade projects and system migrations. Train and mentor junior developers and functional analysts as needed. Key Responsibilities: Development: Customize and extend the D365 F&O platform to meet unique business needs, utilizing X and other relevant technologies.

Functional Analysis: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, identify gaps, and offer solutions using best practices. Integration: Develop and maintain integrations with external systems using standard APIs and custom integrations. Optimization: Analyze business processes and provide recommendations for improvements using D365 F&O functionality.

Support: Provide technical and functional support for the D365 F&O system, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and issue resolution. Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between IS, finance, operations, and other departments to ensure smooth communication and project execution. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.

Equivalent experience will be considered. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O). Strong experience in X programming and D365 customization.

Proven experience performing functional analysis with a deep understanding of financial and operational processes. Previous experience in integrating D365 F&O with other business systems. Certifications: Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 F&O development and functional areas are highly preferred.

Skills and Competencies: In-depth knowledge of D365 Finance and Operations modules. Strong understanding of finance, supply chain, and other operational processes. Proficiency in X, .NET, C#, and other relevant technologies.

Ability to create detailed technical and functional documentation. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
