Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial for ensuring that our projects are completed within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. Experience with Data Centre's and other Mission Critical Facilities is a bonus!
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for efficient estimating processes.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and scope.
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Provide support in the development of project schedules and timelines.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and contracts for future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies.
- Proficiency in using estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation skills to effectively engage with vendors and subcontractors.
- Experience in project management is a plus, demonstrating the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in pricing and estimates.
