Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Architect - Operational Technology (OT) for an initial 1 year contract opportunity. As the successful candidate you will be responsible for helping design the security framework that protect physical fleets (Road, Rail, Sea, Air) and the digital thread that connects them. You will move beyond the firewall to secure satellite up-links, vehicle telematics, and the edge-computing devices that track cargo in real-time.

This position is available 100% Remote in Canada with occasional travel required. A preference will be made for candidates located in Montreal, Vancouver, or Halifax.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that aligns with the organization's logistics and supply chain objectives, ensuring security initiatives support operational speed and efficiency.
• Design and implement secure network architectures that bridge corporate IT systems with operational technology, such as warehouse management systems, vehicle telematics, and shipping control units.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and threat modeling exercises to identify vulnerabilities within the supply chain, including third-party vendor connections and remote access points.
• Establish and enforce security standards, policies, and protocols for data protection, access control, and identity management across all transport modes and global office locations.
• Oversee the selection and deployment of security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption tools, specifically tailored for mobile and remote assets.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to embed "security by design" principles into new logistics software, automated machinery, and digital transformation projects.
• Monitor compliance with relevant international regulations and industry standards, ensuring the organization meets all legal requirements for data privacy and critical infrastructure protection.
• Manage the security auditing process for external logistics partners and suppliers to ensure the integrity of the extended supply chain ecosystem.
• Mentor IT and operational staff on cybersecurity best practices, fostering a culture of security awareness that extends from the boardroom to the warehouse floor.

Required skills:

• 5+ years experience as a Cybersecurity Architect (or similar role)
• Experience with industrial control systems and operational technology security standards, specifically as they apply to automated supply chain equipment and fleet management hardware.
• Experience designing and securing hybrid network environments that include cloud platforms, edge computing devices, and legacy on-premise infrastructure.
• Experience with threat modeling and risk assessments for distributed physical assets, such as moving vehicles, vessels, or remote warehouse sites.
• Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements and privacy laws relevant to the transport and logistics sector in Canada (global exposure is a plus)

Nice-to-have skills:

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP) or similar credentials
• Understanding of major logistics platforms and enterprise resource planning systems, such as Kinaxis, SAP or Oracle
• Experience with blockchain technology and/or AI/ML and implications for industrial security.
• Bilingual (English/French)
