Senior Database Developer
Job Description
Design stable reliable and effective database objects and processes
Optimize and maintain legacy systems
Modify and perform tests on database objects and processes according to requests
Solve database usage issues and malfunctions
Identify new features based on user requirements
Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements
Research and suggest new database products services and protocols
Develop technical and training manuals
Provide data management support to users
Requirements and skills
Proven work experience as a Database developer
Advanced proficiency in SQL
Finetuning Complex Queries
Designing tables
Exceptional critical thinking and troubleshooting abilities
In-depth understanding of DBA concepts as mentioned below but not limited to
Permissions
Archiving Backups
Routine Housekeeping
Recovery
Security
Monitoring
Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications
Knowledge of MS SQL Server Services is a plus
Excellent analytical and organization skills
An ability to understand frontend users requirements and a problemsolving attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Degree in information technology computer science or an adjacent field
Certificate in Database Development is strongly advantageous
years Engineering of Enterprise grade Database systems such as SQL Server Sybase Oracle or DB
Nice to Have
Cloud Database knowledge of platforms like Azure Nutanix Kubernetes Docker or Openshift
Developer mindset with skill in Python Ansible or CC
Experience with Opensource Databases such as MySQL etc Inmemory caches KeyValue Databases and Graph Databases
