We're working with a well-established consulting engineering firm in Ottawa that's looking to bring on a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives in a leadership role, enjoys working with a small, collaborative team, and wants to play an integral role in the continued success and growth of the firm.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead and oversee the electrical design and production process for diverse building projects (commercial, institutional, residential, and light industrial).
Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to junior and intermediate staff.
Ensure high-quality project delivery by managing schedules, budgets, and production standards.
Collaborate closely with partners, operations, and cross-disciplinary teams to drive project success.
Maintain and build strong client relationships, fostering long-term partnerships and new opportunities.
Contribute to business development and support the strategic growth of the team.
What We're Looking For:
10+ years of experience in electrical design engineering within the building consulting industry.
P.Eng designation (preferred), or eligibility to obtain.
Proven leadership experience in production oversight and team management.
Strong technical expertise in building electrical systems, including lighting, fire alarm, and power distribution.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead teams and liaise effectively with clients, architects, and contractors.
A collaborative mindset, with a desire to grow alongside a small, dedicated team and take on greater leadership responsibilities.
