Profit sharing. The Role We are looking for a Senior Energy Consultant to join our team on a full-time permanent basis. The Senior Energy Consultant will take on a leadership role and will manage large projects, supervise junior staff, and apply industry and subject matter knowledge to champion technical work.

Specific job responsibilities include: Manage large projects Manage schedule, budget and project team. Manage work plans. Ensure deliverables are client-ready and meet requirements.

Take accountability and ownership for overall project success. Champion technical work packages Understand the technical scope of Posterity Group’s project work and ensure successful technical integration across project work packages. Inform and innovate on technical methods to execute analyses.

Conduct quality control on project work. Lead communication with external stakeholders Lead client-facing meetings and presentations. Lead and ensure written and oral communication is accurate, complete, and understandable to the audience.

Manage staff Supervise and mentor junior staff to develop their technical and leadership competencies. Lead and coach project teams. Contribute to company sales Leverage personal networks to contribute to sales and advance Posterity Group’s Mission.

Advance thought leadership in subject matter areas where Posterity Group is strategically focused. The ideal candidate possesses the following experience and qualifications: A degree in Engineering, Data Science, Policy, Economics, or similar. 7-10 years of experience in a technical leadership role, ideally in consulting, energy analysis/forecasting, or demand side management. Demonstrated experience in project management, budget management, and client relationship management.

Demonstrated experience supervising and mentoring junior staff. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Intermediate or advanced MS Excel skills (i.e., can competently use Excel for data analysis, including use of nested functions, pivot tables, and macros).

Ability to clearly communicate technical information in written and oral formats (i.e., reports and presentations) to both clients and staff. Comfortable working with large datasets and conducting quantitative analysis. Experience with data visualization (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau).

Candidates must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada under relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations. The anticipated salary band for this position is $105,000 to $130,000 with flexibility based on experience. Preferred work locations are Ottawa, Toronto, or Vancouver but we will consider applicants based in other Canadian locations.
