An established and reputable ICI General Contractor based in the GTA is seeking a Senior Estimator to join their team. This is a critical leadership-track position, with the successful candidate expected to take over the firm's full estimating function in the near future as a senior leader transitions toward retirement.

The Opportunity:
This role is ideal for a seasoned Estimator with at least 10 years of experience in the ICI construction sector, including ground-up, additions, and renovation projects ranging from $1M to $30M. The company specializes in Construction Management (CM) delivery and requires an individual who thrives in a client-facing role, offering value engineering and budgeting guidance from pre-construction through completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full-cycle estimating process from concept through to submission

  • Collaborate closely with the leadership team and project managers to develop budgets and cost strategies

  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing and ensure accurate takeoffs

  • Deliver proactive value engineering insights to benefit both the internal team and clients

  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and provide ongoing support throughout project development

  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation for all bid submissions and costing

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of estimating experience in the ICI sector (institutional, commercial, industrial)

  • Proven track record delivering estimates for projects between $1M–$30M

  • Strong familiarity with Construction Management projects

  • Excellent communication skills and comfort engaging with clients directly

  • Highly organized, self-sufficient, and able to take full ownership of estimating duties

  • Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software

Why Join?

  • Opportunity to transition into a lead role under the mentorship of a retiring senior partner

  • Work in a collaborative and professional environment with long-standing clients

  • Competitive compensation and flexibility around start date – the right fit is more important than immediate availability
