Stone Creek Resorts is a privately held Alberta-based land and property developer and the owner/operator of two world class golf resorts – Silvertip Resort in Canmore, Alberta, and Eagle Ranch Resort in Invermere, BC.
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our Calgary-based Finance team. This role supports financial accuracy, compliance, and strategic insights across resort and real estate operations. Occasional travel to Canmore and Invermere may be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain general ledgers and record transactions across multiple systems.
- Manage monthly close processes and support internal/external reporting.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements for resort entities.
- Deliver KPI reports and project-specific financial insights.
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure ledger accuracy.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with finance and development teams.
- Identify and implement process improvements and system upgrades.
- Work cross-functionally with operations, development, and procurement teams.
- Oversee direct reports and provide leadership across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll functions.
Qualifications
- CPA designation preferred with 3–5 years post-designation experience.
- Proficient in Sage Intacct, Sage Construction, and advanced Excel.
- Strong project accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to adapt, prioritize, and maintain confidentiality.
