Base Pay Range


CA$99,789.00/yr - CA$271,245.00/yr

Location & Work Model: This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of being in our Toronto hub three days per week.


About The Team


The growth team at EvenUp is responsible for building intuitive, high-performance user experiences across the company’s AI-powered platform. This team partners closely with Product, Design, and Backend Engineering to deliver elegant, scalable web applications that enable customers to work faster and more effectively.


Responsibilities



  • Build and maintain scalable, high-quality frontend systems that power core product experiences

  • Translate product and design requirements into intuitive, accessible, and performant user interfaces

  • Contribute to frontend architecture decisions that support long-term maintainability and scalability

  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver end-to-end features

  • Uphold a high bar for performance, accessibility, and user experience

  • Contribute to a strong frontend engineering culture through mentorship and best practices


What You’ll Do



  • UI & Frontend Development: Design and implement high-performance, accessible, and elegant user interfaces for EvenUp’s AI-driven platform.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Design, and Backend teams to bring new features to life with exceptional quality and responsiveness.

  • Frontend Architecture: Contribute to architectural decisions across major product surfaces, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and long-term performance.

  • Design Systems & Shared Libraries: Develop and maintain design system components and shared frontend libraries to streamline development across teams.

  • Performance & Accessibility: Optimize applications for speed, accessibility (a11y), SEO, and responsiveness across devices and browsers.

  • Ownership & Mentorship: Play a key role in complex projects from ideation through deployment, while mentoring peers and promoting frontend best practices in a fast-paced environment.


What We Look For



  • Deep experience with modern frontend technologies such as React (or similar frameworks like Vue or Svelte), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3

  • Strong understanding of state management solutions (e.g., Redux, Zustand, Jotai) and modern frontend architecture patterns

  • Experience working with design systems, component libraries, and close UI/UX collaboration using tools like Figma

  • Solid knowledge of web performance optimization, accessibility standards, and responsive design principles

  • Experience with frontend testing tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress, and version control using Git

  • Familiarity with modern frontend build tools (e.g., Vite, Webpack) and CI/CD pipelines

  • Proven track record of shipping high-quality, user-facing products in fast-paced, high-growth environments

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams


Bonus (Nice to Have)



  • Experience building AI-driven or data-heavy web applications

  • Familiarity with backend integration patterns such as REST APIs or GraphQL

  • Experience with SSR frameworks like Next.js, server components, or edge rendering

  • Experience deploying frontend applications using Vercel, Netlify, or AWS Amplify
