Senior Fullstack Engineer (Node.js + React.js)

Job Type: Permanent Full Time
Location: Toronto - Onsite/Hybrid
Reporting to: Director of Technology
Salary Range: 100k - 120k CAD per Year

Job purpose:

Goway Travel is introducing a new and pivotal role for a Senior Full-stack Engineer who will help build and scale the next generation of our travel operations platforms. In this role, you’ll take the lead in designing and developing high-impact solutions, mentoring fellow engineers, and contributing to key architectural decisions that drive our digital transformation forward.

You’ll collaborate closely with both business and technical stakeholders in an integrated delivery environment — where your ideas, leadership, and technical expertise will directly influence how we create seamless, world-class travel experiences.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Lead design and development of features across Node.js, NestJS, and React.js
• Design and implement performant APIs and serverless services within AWS
• Work with product, architecture, and operational teams to define scalable technical approaches
• Conduct code reviews, contribute to standards, and guide implementation quality
• Drive continuous integration, testing, and automation improvements

What are we looking for?

• 7–10+ years of software engineering experience, with strong fullstack expertise
• Deep knowledge of Node.js, NestJS, and modern React frameworks
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, ECS/Fargate, Cognito, RDS/Postgres, OpenSearch)
• Strong grounding in system integration, REST/JSON, and DTO-based architectures
• Experience with Agile delivery, Jira, GitHub, and modern test frameworks
• Understanding of travel domain or operational systems (desirable)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
