Are you a self motivated, results driven professional looking to join a dynamic private investment company who truly cares about their employees?. We are on the hunt for a Senior Investment Accountant to join this already thriving team. Reporting to the Controller, you will play a key role within the finance department. What you will be responsible for: Assist in month-end and quarter-end financial close packages including quarterly financial statements and variance analysis reporting.

Prepare and review account reconciliations and analysis of financial results. Compile year-end working papers for external reporting and corporate tax compliance. Research, interpret and prepare accounting policy memos supporting the accounting treatment for special transactions under ASPE. Assist in improving and automating current systems and processes.

Assist in preparing additional financial reports and ad hoc tasks, as required. Assist with external or internal audit and review engagements. Record investment activities to ensure accurate reporting of wealth management assets. Mentor junior finance team members.

Provide ongoing support for any additional tasks or projects as requested. What you will bring: Strong interpersonal skills and fit with company values and culture. Strong understanding of accounting principles, including financial reporting under ASPE as well as accounting for a variety of investment types (private equity, fixed income, real estate, etc.). Self-motivated, results-driven professional with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to articulate key themes and messages both with internal and external stakeholders. Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products; specifically, excel and word. Experience with Microsoft NAV and Yardi ERP is considered an asset. Experience with personal and corporate tax preferred.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field 5 years in an intermediate accounting role. CPA designation or working towards designation is preferred, or equivalent education and experience. Thorough knowledge of ASPE.
