Job Opportunity: Senior Pipeline Engineer

Wood is currently seeking a Senior Pipeline Engineer in Calgary, AB to expand our team within the Oil & Gas Canada business. This role is seeking a qualified engineer that has completed their professional registration requirements in Alberta and will be working in an engineering capacity on above ground and buried pipelines.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline, although Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, or Pipeline Engineering are preferred
2. 10 or more years experience with SAGD or cross country pipelines
3. Registration with APEGA as a professional engineer
4. Familiarity with engineering standards relevant to the oil and gas pipeline industry (including CSA, ASME, API, and Alberta Pipeline Rules)
5. Awareness of the technical challenges associated with alternative fluid pipelines (CO2, hydrogen, ammonia, is an asset)
6. Recent experience working with pipelines (above ground or buried)
7. Awareness of Alberta OH and S Code requirements
8. Good technical knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry
9. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
10. Proven ability to work in a team environment, while dealing with people from various disciplines
11. Demonstrated willingness to learn and work independently
12. Strong technical writing and oral communication skills in English
13. Be comfortable working in a hybrid (office and home) environment
14. Located in the Calgary area although candidates located in Edmonton or Sarnia will also be considered
15. Proficient with MS Office Suite
