Senior Project Engineer

Position Overview

Our client is an Engineering Consultant firm looking for a Project Engineer to join their team in Burnaby, British Columbia. This is a great opportunity to gain value through working on a variety of multidisciplinary projects.

Further Responsibilities Include:

• Reviewing and developing project objectives
• Developing and defining system performance and facility requirements
• Overseeing project workflow and execution
• Managing client’s expectations
• Developing engineering scopes of work documents
• Co-ordinating and planning project tasks, resources, and activities
• Substantiating designs and concepts
• Controlling and delegating scopes to engineers, designers, and sub-consultants
• Preparing all project documents
• Proactively coordinating with all stakeholders to identify and address problems and bottlenecks
• Controls quality and checks of deliverables and submittals including self-checks
• Site visits to facilities and project sites, required – Completes field designs and assistance during construction
• Continuously steering the project plan based on on-going requirements and findings, while making corrections as needed

Ideal Candidate Experience:

• 7+ years of related experience in mechanical, process, or structural engineering
• Registered as an EIT or P.Eng with EGBC
• Familiarity MS Project and Primavera is preferable
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
