Recruitment Partners is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join their client’s team in Calgary, Alberta. Your in-depth knowledge of upstream oil and gas operations, production and facility design will lead you to a successful career with this top-tier organization. The successful candidate will manage individual projects and be a high-level collaborator, mentor and leader, sharing their expertise and encouraging safety and communication across all aspects of the projects.

Your Success will be defined by your ability:

  • Accountable for project performance with respect to safety, cost, and schedule
  • Follow the company’s management system to create, progress and execute numerous concurrent projects
  • Lead in-house discipline engineering resources and engage 3rd party engineering consultants to drive efficient project execution
  • Promote safety as a core value in their approach to design and execution of work in their area, champion a focus on Process Safety in design and regulatory compliance
  • Provide technical infrastructure engineering support & mentorship to the Operations Engineers and Plant Engineers. This includes project scoping, design, cost estimating, and execution
  • Act as a Key stakeholder in the Management of Change (MOC) process, including technical review and sign-off
  • Provide mentorship in area of expertise to other staff. Leverage peer knowledge to bolster understanding in areas of less experience. Encourage culture of knowledge sharing and open communication across operations.
  • Engage key stakeholders (including Construction, Well Delivery, Operations/Maintenance, Automation, Supply Chain, Measurement, Finance, and Joint Interest) to sustain business performance, challenge anomalies, identify and implement opportunities to optimize value.

Your strengths include:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Professional Engineer sanctioned by APEGA
  • Ideally 5+ years of relevant operations, facility and production engineering experience
  • Knowledge and application of frequently used codes (ASME B31.3, CSA Z662 etc.)
  • Working knowledge of upstream oil and gas industry and facility design
