Senior Project Specialist

With offices in Vancouver, Los Angeles and Calgary our projects cover Western Canada, Ontario, the Western United States. Benefits: Salary commensurate with experience Comprehensive bonus structure is available Extended medical and dental coverage provided Responsibilities: • Review Electrical, Architectural and Interior Design documents • Project Quotations and Budgeting • Coordinate and negotiate with luminaire manufactures • Develop and maintain proper files for projects, providing reports and updates to colleagues, customers & vendors, as required • Prepare and submit shop/submittal drawings for approval • Review returned approval drawings, ensuring accuracy on all details • Process all incoming customer purchase orders and generate corresponding purchase orders to vendors • Track and expedite vendor orders for shipping • Process add/delete prices on change orders • Communicate delivery information and project updates to vendors, customers, clients and colleagues • Follow-up on all ‘on hold’ orders to ensure prompt release of items on order • Provide basic technical support to customers and contractors • Create and maintain positive relationships with manufacturers and clients • Maintain an up to date knowledge of our industry and products Preferred qualifications: • College or University Degree • 5-10 years in a similar role and/or project management role • Experience in the lighting industry via manufacturer, agent, or distributor role • Experience reviewing construction plans, specifications, and other related construction documents • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English, with superior telephone etiquette. • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities. • Ability to self-manage and work within deadlines, with a high level of emphasis placed on accuracy and attention to detail. • Resourceful, flexible, reliable and hardworking
