THE JOB : Senior Salesforce Administrator

The starting salary range falls within the minimum to mid-point of the salary range.

Starting Salary Range: $80,067 – $100,083

Reporting to the Manager, Business Applications, the Senior Salesforce Administrator is responsible for delivering enhancements to our Salesforce platform, by designing and configuring scalable best practice solutions and providing product support. This role manages the Salesforce system, interfaces and data while delivering the technical solutions needed to close the gap between current state and business goals.

The Senior Salesforce Administrator works with subject matter experts and includes those perspectives and concerns in solution designs to migrate legacy systems and data into the Salesforce platform. This position collaborates across IT, multiple departments, stakeholders, partners, and external vendors, including benefits and insurance administrators.

This role is also responsible for assisting with technical architecture design, documentation, standardization, and prototyping. With a focus on digital transformation and a cloud-first mandate, the Senior Salesforce Administrator is a results driven person who has passion to achieve desired outcomes and align contributions to improve business performance in a multi partnered environment.

Technical skills:

  • Experience implementing Salesforce configuration changes including (but not limited to): Workflow, Process Builder, Flow, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, dashboards and reports.
  • Performs all development activities in the Dev/Test stage such as configure changes, testing, system performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and enabling new features.
  • Proactive system maintenance including security reviews, release updates, health check and Optimizer.
  • Manage new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, OWD and sharing rules.
  • Understanding of when Apex Triggers are used and how to troubleshoot issues using Apex as needed.
  • Conduct general maintenance activities on Salesforce platform to ensure reliability, accuracy, and availability.
  • Participate in the integration of data, features, and business processes from legacy systems into Salesforce.
  • Experience working on enterprise implementations leveraging agile methodology.
  • Develop best practices and frameworks for unit, functional and integration tests.
  • Educate staff members through ad hoc training and individual support.
  • Monitor and support improvements in user adoption.

  • Strong business analysis skills required, understanding associated business processes in detail and then designing an appropriate solution that enables key business success criteria.
  • Reviews and analyzes the effectiveness and efficiency of Salesforce for various business process enhancements.
  • Review current business processes and goals, identify improvements and advise/ participate in the discussion of business requirements.
  • Translating business requirements into technical specifications, including implementation.
  • Experience advising and collaborating closely with IT Operations and Project Management teams to determine interdependencies and coordinate/execute activities.

  • Identify areas of improvement for current and new Salesforce platform features.
  • Support the creation of Salesforce CRM platform roadmap and define priorities, liaising with stakeholders for further leveraging this system.

  • Work with business departments to analyze & design potential solutions, communicate proposed recommendations, obtain consensus from all stakeholders.
  • Assess implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations.
  • Develop solutions for ongoing business challenges, test and validate them.
  • Recommend solutions to improve existing process and enterprise applications.

    WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or relevant field preferred but nor required.
  • Strong Salesforce product knowledge and at least 5 years of hands-on Salesforce Administration experience and multiple Salesforce deployments.
  • One or more current Salesforce certifications (Administrator/Advanced Administrator, App Builder, Sales/Service Cloud)
  • Strong expertise in Sales & Service Cloud, and open to upskilling with Marketing & Experience Cloud.
  • Good understanding of basic triggers and Apex code.
  • Experience with integration of the Salesforce platform with ERP, Data warehouse and Document Management applications.
  • Solid understanding of the software development life cycle; software project management approaches; and requirements, design, and test techniques.
  • Improve Salesforce data quality, implementing rules and automation as needed during data migration from legacy systems.
  • Experience with the Release, Environment and Version Management with SBX/DEV/PROD for rollout of features and fixes
  • Excellent documentation, facilitation, and communication skills (verbal and written) and dedication to quality and timeliness.
  • Experience using modern project management tools like ClickUp, Jira, and Freshservice is an asset
  • Understanding of financial systems for benefits, insurance, membership administration and accounting is an asset.
  • Regular participation in the Salesforce community is considered an asset
