Job Description


POSITION PURPOSE SUMMARY


The Senior Server Administrator role focuses on configuring and managing server systems, applications, and hardware to ensure optimal performance and reliability.


Key Responsibilities


Key responsibilities include automating tasks with PowerShell/MS Graph, supporting infrastructure, maintaining IT policies, deploying and upgrading equipment, and responding to help desk issues.


ACCOUNTABILITIES



  • Configure server systems, applications, and hardware, ensuring optimal performance.

  • Streamline tasks and automate processes using PowerShell scripts and MS Graph.

  • Collaborate with business units to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of corporate servers.

  • Maintain policies, procedures, and training plans for network resource administration and disaster recovery.

  • Research server/network hardware, software, and protocols to support procurement and development efforts.

  • Deploy and manage servers, printers, scanners, firewalls, encryption systems, and security solutions.

  • Administer equipment upgrades, conduct audits, and perform system backups and recovery.

  • Provide guidance to junior team members and actively respond to help desk tickets related to server and network resource issues.

  • Provide on-call and after-hours support on a rotating basis.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS



  • 5+ years of work experience in supporting IT infrastructure for a complex, enterprise environment.

  • Strong experience in complex scripting with PowerShell and MS Graph.

  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.

  • Must be conscientious and reliable with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and problem resolution.

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

  • Ability to be in the Toronto office 1 - 2 times a week.


Compensation


The target hiring range for this position is $81,170.48 to $101,463.10 with a maximum of $121,755.72. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
