Overview
We are hiring a permanent Senior Engineering/Manufacturing Account Manager to join our client's busy team! This company is a manufacturer of precision metal and plastic components for the food and transportation industries. They provide international services, including Supply Chain Management, Industrial Vending, and more! We are looking for personable candidates with 15+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a preference for global manufacturing environments with offshore manufacturing sites.
Job Title: Senior Engineering / Technical Account Manager
Salary: $95,000 - $110,000 / year (determined based on experience)
Location: Oakville, Ontario

Responsibilities
Technical
- Recommend appropriate suppliers based on technical capabilities and project requirements.
- Manage customer communication related to samples and facilitate resolution of any technical or quality issues that arise.
- Review RFQ (Request for Quote) packages for technical risk, including materials, processes, and tolerances, and ensure completeness (e.g., drawings, reference standards, subcomponents, paint specifications).
- Serve as a technical point of contact, coordinating with customers by addressing complex issues related to product design, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Evaluate supplier quotes for accuracy, feasibility, and alignment with customer expectations.
- Coordinate first article production following purchase order issuance, ensuring clear communication between all parties.
Client and Supplier Relations
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients by understanding and addressing their technical needs.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Facilitate smooth coordination between all parties to support successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
Project Oversight
- Oversee the full product development lifecycle from concept to production, ensuring products are delivered on time and aligned with client requirements.
- Manage project milestones, budgets, and timelines to drive successful execution and delivery.
- Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed to maintain alignment with overall project objectives.
- Analyze feedback and performance data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Overseas Manufacturing and Procurement
- Identify opportunities for improvement within the product development and delivery process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure changes are effectively integrated and aligned with business goals.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a preference for global manufacturing environments with offshore manufacturing sites.
- 10+ years of management-level experience in a manufacturing or technical field.
- Experience with technical processes in manufacturing, engineering, and product design.
- Long-term experience in overseas manufacturing, procurement, and sourcing in a supply chain environment.
- Expertise in project management and methodology.
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical topics.
- Ability to work with several teams and projects simultaneously.
