Shop Hand

GENERAL SHOP LABOURER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Clean parking areas, equipment and remove trash. Perform very minor repairs – assist with checking/ changing oil, fluids and filters. Responsible for delivery of parts (in house) in a timely manner Safe and accurate loading/unloading of deliveries. General laborer in shop area.

Assist shop personnel as needed. Report broken/ damage equipment that needs repairing. Cleaning of work area OWN TOOLS/EQUIPMENT Steel-toed safety boots, coveralls WORK SITE ENVIRONMENT Outdoor Yard (all seasons) / Indoor Shop Work WORKING KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES – Requirements Needs to have average mechanical knowledge and ability – mechanically inclined is a definite asset No experience necessary but previous work experience in a manufacturing and/or production environment will be considered an asset Strong verbal and written communication skills – Fluent English required Ability to work in a team as well as independently and with minimal supervision Proper use of hand tools. Basic mathematics.

Attention to detail required PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES Physically demanding work (frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, and twisting), must be able to lift / carry up to 50 lb.
