The Maintenance Planner reports to the Maintenance Planning Superintendent and is responsible for planning and scheduling Power Distribution & Infrastructure maintenance work, internal projects, and supporting timely repairs in collaboration with other maintenance planners.

Main Accountabilities

  1. Provide technical and operational input into maintenance procedures and systems to ensure operational readiness.
  2. Utilize SAP maintenance management system effectively and thoroughly.
  3. Collaborate with department resources to develop work scopes, create accurate plans for scheduling, and forecast manpower needs.
  4. Review and prioritize maintenance work requests with team members.
  5. Serve as the primary liaison between the maintenance department and operations, ensuring maintenance services support high equipment availability and performance.
  6. Review work requests for accuracy, clarity, scope, realistic timelines, proper equipment identification, and authorization.
  7. Participate in planning and scheduling meetings with operations to determine work order priorities, downtime windows, and lead times.
  8. Improve maintenance processes, planning, and scheduling through feedback from various stakeholders.
  9. Maintain and distribute backlog and KPI reports.
  10. Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and 4-week rolling plans.
  11. Develop and update maintenance programs, schedules, and equipment parts lists (BOMs).

Qualifications

  • College Diploma - Preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in maintenance planning and scheduling in facility maintenance
  • Proficient in SAP maintenance management system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient in Prometheus - Preferred
  • Planning and scheduling certification - Preferred
  • Facility maintenance trades certification - Preferred
