We are looking for Skilled Labourers and Insulators for a long term position in Vancouver with lots of Overtime available
Job Description
Join our dynamic team as a Skilled Laborer, specializing in mechanical and wall insulation services within shipbuilding projects. You will engage in critical insulation work for various ships, including Joint Support Ship combat vessels and Offshore Oceanographic Science Vessels. Your main responsibilities will involve applying, removing, and repairing various types of insulation on industrial equipment, interpreting technical drawings and specifications, selecting and securing insulation materials, and installing vapor barriers and finish insulated surfaces.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of construction experience
- Able to operate hand and power tools
- Able to meet security requirements (PR or citizen required for site)
- Able to read, write, speak English effectively
- CSTS
- Reliable transportation (site is not transit accessible)
Nice to Have Experience
- Insulation experience
- Sheet metal experience
- Experience with Blue Prints/drawings
Work Environment
- Site is located at the shipyards in North Vancouver
- Schedule is Monday – Friday, 10 hour days
- Daily and Weekly OT available
- Saturdays available for those who want it
Payrate
- Skilled Labourer – $25/hr – $30/hr
- Insulator – $30/hr – $42/hr (Based on experience)
PPE Required
- Steel Toed Work Boots
- Hard Hat
- High-vis Vest
